Long Gun Defense Workshop
The Long Gun Defense Workshop is designed to give students a practical understanding of close-quarters defense concepts against rifle and shotgun threats in real-world environments.
This workshop focuses on simple, aggressive, and principle-based responses designed to help students manage distance, disrupt the threat, gain positional advantage, and create opportunities for escape, control, or counteraction under extreme stress.
Students will work through the mechanics, tactics, and decision-making processes involved in defending against long gun threats at close range while developing a clearer understanding of timing, positioning, movement, and pressure-based application.
This workshop includes:
- Fundamental long gun defense principles
- Defensive movement and angle management
- Redirects, control, and counterattack concepts
- Close-quarters positioning and leverage
- Reaction timing and pressure response
- Weapon control and retention principles
- Stress-based drills and scenario training
- Tactical decision-making under pressure
- Environmental and situational application
- Partner-based repetition and practical integration
Training is structured to improve confidence, clarity, and performance under pressure through realistic repetition and progressive resistance.
This is not theoretical or choreography-based training. The focus is practical application, efficient movement, and proven defensive principles designed for real-world situations.
