The Handgun Defense Workshop is designed to give students practical, principle-based training for managing close-range handgun threats in realistic, high-stress situations.
This workshop focuses on understanding the realities of handgun attacks at close distance and developing efficient defensive responses built around timing, positioning, control, and rapid decision-making under pressure.
Students will work through core defensive concepts and tactical problem-solving while learning how to disrupt the threat, improve survivability, and create opportunities for escape, control, or counteraction in dynamic environments.
This workshop includes:
- Fundamental handgun defense principles
- Close-range defensive reactions and movement
- Redirects, control, and counterattack concepts
- Positioning and angle management
- Weapon control and retention principles

- Reaction timing and tactical decision-making
- Scenario-based application training
- Environmental awareness and movement strategies
- Partner-based repetition and practical integration
Training is structured to improve clarity, confidence, and performance under pressure through realistic drills, progressive resistance, and practical application.
This is not static or choreography-based training. The focus is simple, proven defensive principles designed to function under real-world stress and unpredictability.
